Downey Osborne is partnering with a leading international law firm in Dublin to appoint a Tax Manager to join its growing advisory team. This role will suit a Chartered Tax Advisor with strong experience in corporate and international tax, looking to work on high-quality, complex transactional matters within a top-tier legal environment.

About You

  • Chartered Tax Advisor (or equivalent tax qualification)

  • Approximately 2 to 5 years’ experience in corporate tax or advisory

  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax with international exposure

  • Experience in transactional tax work including M&A or restructurings

  • Strong communication skills with client-facing experience

  • Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving ability

About Your New Role

Always

  • Work on complex advisory tax projects across domestic and international clients

  • Support corporate restructurings, acquisitions and cross-border transactions

  • Engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders on technical matters

Often

  • Advise on M&A, IPO and investment structuring work within a legal services environment

  • Support private equity, corporate tax planning and transfer pricing projects

  • Contribute to structured finance and cross-border advisory matters

Occasionally

  • Assist with tax controversy and Revenue engagements

  • Work on real estate and asset finance related tax matters

  • Contribute to internal technical development and knowledge sharing

Never

  • Work purely on compliance without advisory exposure

  • Be responsible for organising office social media posts
