About You

  • Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience with a strong management accounting background

  • Experienced in month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

  • Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insight

  • Highly proficient in Excel, with strong financial modelling and analytical skills

  • Confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

  • Strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with operational and non-finance stakeholders

  • Experience within healthcare, a clinical environment or a multi-service organisation would be advantageous

About Your New Role

Always

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis

  • Assist with the month-end close, ensuring accurate cut-offs, journal postings and financial reporting

  • Maintain and enhance financial controls, ensuring accuracy and data integrity across finance processes

  • Prepare financial KPIs, management reports and dashboards for senior leadership

  • Support audit preparation and respond to external auditor queries

Often

  • Provide financial insight to operational and clinical teams to support commercial decision-making

  • Analyse profitability across service lines, procedures, cost centres and other key business areas

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and longer-term financial planning

  • Assist with pricing reviews, costings, return on investment analysis and business cases

  • Review cost trends and provide financial insight to support procurement and supplier decisions

Occasionally

  • Support financial modelling for new services, equipment purchases and investment opportunities

  • Assist with scenario planning, capacity modelling and operational growth plans

  • Review and improve financial processes, reporting tools and controls

  • Support revenue cycle activities, including billing accuracy, debtor monitoring and payment reconciliations

  • Contribute to wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Never

  • Compromise on financial accuracy, data integrity or robust internal controls

  • Believe that the printer only stops working when you’re not in a rush.
