About You
Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience with a strong management accounting background
Experienced in month-end processes, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Commercially minded, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insight
Highly proficient in Excel, with strong financial modelling and analytical skills
Confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
Strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with operational and non-finance stakeholders
Experience within healthcare, a clinical environment or a multi-service organisation would be advantageous
About Your New Role
Always
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Assist with the month-end close, ensuring accurate cut-offs, journal postings and financial reporting
Maintain and enhance financial controls, ensuring accuracy and data integrity across finance processes
Prepare financial KPIs, management reports and dashboards for senior leadership
Support audit preparation and respond to external auditor queries
Often
Provide financial insight to operational and clinical teams to support commercial decision-making
Analyse profitability across service lines, procedures, cost centres and other key business areas
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and longer-term financial planning
Assist with pricing reviews, costings, return on investment analysis and business cases
Review cost trends and provide financial insight to support procurement and supplier decisions
Occasionally
Support financial modelling for new services, equipment purchases and investment opportunities
Assist with scenario planning, capacity modelling and operational growth plans
Review and improve financial processes, reporting tools and controls
Support revenue cycle activities, including billing accuracy, debtor monitoring and payment reconciliations
Contribute to wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
