An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, gaining strong exposure across a varied finance function while enjoying flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

About You

  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a professional services environment desirable

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

About Your New Role

Always

  • Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

  • Prepare monthly and year-end financial information

  • Assist with VAT returns and audit preparation

  • Support the wider finance team with reporting and analysis

Often

  • Manage billing and invoicing processes

  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up where required

  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and annual accounts support schedules

Occasionally

  • Process employee expenses and petty cash

  • Support process improvement initiatives and training activities

Never

  • Work endless overtime just to keep on top of the basics

  • Open a spreadsheet and discover the formatting has developed a mind of its own
