About You:
• Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) OR equivalent commercial accounting experience (minimum 12–18 months) with demonstrable month-end, reconciliations and transactional competence.
• Practical experience with month-end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good Excel skills and willingness to learn accounting software used by the business (XERO)
About Your New Role:
Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including supplier payments and creditor reconciliations.
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, and support day-to-day cashflow monitoring.
Support payroll processing and liaise with the payroll provider as required.
Assist the Financial Controller with month-end close processes, including posting journals, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and managing accruals (level of responsibility dependent on experience).
Contribute to monthly management reporting, including preparation of P&L statements and variance analysis.
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist the Financial Controller with audit and year-end activities, providing supporting schedules and documentation as needed.
