Tax Senior- Dublin - €50,000 - €60,000

Downey Osborne is delighted to be recruiting a Tax Senior on behalf of a well-established firm in Dublin. This is a progressive and rewarding role offering exposure to a wide range of tax matters, with a strong emphasis on client advisory. You’ll work closely with experienced senior leaders and manage your own portfolio, all within a professional and collaborative team environment.

About You:

  • Solid background in tax, ideally with advisory experience across multiple tax heads

  • Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships

  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, including directors or partners

  • Ability to oversee junior team members and support their development

  • Strong communication and technical skills

About Your New Role:

Always:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate compliance across CT returns and filings

  • Review tax computations and technical analyses prepared by junior staff

  • Liaise with Revenue on client matters including audits, queries, and disclosures

  • Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact for tax queries

Often:

  • Work closely with Partners and Directors to support advisory projects such as restructurings, succession planning, and cross-border matters

  • Assist in the development and coaching of junior team members

  • Identify tax planning opportunities and bring them forward to clients or senior leadership

  • Ensure compliance with internal risk management procedures and professional standards

  • Contribute to proposals and pitch materials for new client opportunities

Occasionally:

  • Support wider business initiatives such as internal training sessions, marketing events, or technical updates

  • Collaborate with other departments on multidisciplinary projects

  • Take part in industry seminars or CPD sessions to stay up to date with tax legislation and Revenue guidance

Never:

  • Feeling micromanaged, as you will have the freedom to lead and innovate

  • Fighting a kangaroo wearing a blindfold
