About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach. This role requires someone who can balance day-to-day financial management with strategic input, while leading and developing a team.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Experience in management and statutory reporting

  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and improving processes

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Your Responsibilities

Always:

  • Produce accurate and timely management accounts, including KPIs and commentary

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Manage audit and statutory reporting requirements

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements

  • Lead and develop the finance team

  • Maintain strong financial controls and processes

Often:

  • Support senior leadership with financial insight and analysis

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies across finance systems

  • Oversee transactional finance, payroll, and treasury activities

  • Develop and enhance financial policies and procedures

  • Partner with wider business functions to support decision-making

Occasionally:

  • Support business projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Engage with external stakeholders including auditors and advisors

  • Contribute to wider strategic planning

Never:

  • Compromise on accuracy, control, or compliance

  • Race you boss across the office car park just for fun
