This is a senior leadership role for an ambitious tax professional with strong experience in R&D tax relief, looking to lead complex client engagements, manage high-performing teams, and drive growth within a progressive advisory environment.

About You
Strong experience in R&D tax relief and innovation incentive regimes
Proven track record of managing and delivering complex R&D claims
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders such as CFOs, CTOs and CEOs
Chartered Tax Advisor, ACA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing teams
Strong commercial awareness with a focus on business development and client growth
About Your New Role
Always
Lead end-to-end delivery of R&D tax engagements for a diverse client base
Act as key client contact, managing senior stakeholder relationships
Oversee technical and financial assessments and sign off R&D claim reports
Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing R&D tax team
Often
Identify qualifying R&D projects and support clients through complex technical discussions
Review and refine technical and financial documentation prepared by the team
Collaborate with internal specialists and external advisers to optimise claims
Contribute to the growth and development of the R&D tax offering
Occasionally
Represent the firm at industry events, seminars and client presentations
Contribute to thought leadership and technical publications
Engage with Revenue on complex or high-value claim discussions
Never
Step away from client-facing leadership responsibilities to focus purely on internal administration
Be required to herd sheep across rural client sites as part of any project delivery or advisory work
