We’re representing a long-established and growing accountancy firm based in South Belfast. Known for its friendly culture and strong client relationships, the firm works with a broad range of businesses across Northern Ireland and Ireland. As the team continues to expand, they’re looking for a recently qualified accountant to join their general practice department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role – with a primary focus on accounts preparation, plus involvement in tax and occasional audit projects.

About You
Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA preferred)
Strong experience preparing annual accounts and tax returns within practice
Comfortable working with clients of various sizes and industries
Management accounts experience a bonus, but not essential
About your new role
Always
Preparing annual accounts and tax returns for a diverse client base in the UK and Ireland
Liaising with clients to gather information and ensure timely delivery
Often
Preparing management accounts for selected clients
Supporting junior staff and reviewing their work
Acting as the main contact for a small portfolio
Occasionally
Supporting the wider team with other projects in Advisory, Audit, Restructuring etc
Visiting clients on site to see/understand their operations and requirements first hand
Never
Travelling for long audit stints across the water
Riding a unicycle blindfolded
