Downey Osborne is delighted to be partnering with a growing professional services firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their expanding tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and growing environment.
You will work with a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients, advising on complex corporate tax matters while also playing a key role in managing client relationships, developing junior team members and supporting the continued growth of the tax function.

About You
ACA, ACCA and/or ITI qualified
Significant experience within corporate tax
Previous experience at Manager or Senior Manager level
Strong technical knowledge of Irish corporate tax
Experience advising domestic and international clients
Proven experience managing complex tax assignments
Strong client relationship management skills
Experience leading, developing and mentoring junior team members
Commercially minded with strong business development awareness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident explaining complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders
Strong project management and organisational skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proactive, ambitious and keen to contribute to the continued growth of a tax team
About Your New Role
Always:
Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients
Provide technical corporate tax advice across a range of complex matters
Review and oversee corporate tax compliance work
Manage client relationships and act as a senior point of contact
Ensure work is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines
Review work completed by junior members of the team
Provide guidance, coaching and support to the wider tax team
Often:
Advise clients on corporate tax structuring and wider tax matters
Work with domestic and international businesses on Irish and cross-border tax issues
Identify tax risks, opportunities and commercially appropriate solutions
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Work alongside colleagues and external advisers on complex assignments
Support Partners and Directors with client development opportunities
Contribute to proposals, pitches and business development activity
Occasionally:
Support transaction and M&A-related tax projects
Assist with tax due diligence and transaction structuring
Attend networking events and client meetings
Contribute to thought leadership and business development initiatives
Support the continued development and growth of the corporate tax function
Play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining talent within the team
Never:
Be expected to make a complicated tax issue sound even more complicated than it already is.
