About You

You’ll be working towards or have achieved a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ and will bring:

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (practice or industry)

  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

Your Responsibilities

Always:

  • Prepare financial assessments, forecasts, and projections for various business units and projects

  • Ensure investment proposals meet established financial criteria such as return on investment and contribution margins

  • Act as a finance business partner to support commercial and operational teams with financial guidance

  • Provide financial advice and develop planning models to assist decision making

  • Monitor and report on overall business profitability and performance

Often:

  • Support business development activities including acquisitions, disposals, and due diligence

  • Prepare financial documentation and analyses for internal review and approval processes

  • Collaborate with operational teams to evaluate business performance and identify risk factors

  • Manage due diligence and compliance processes related to transactions or business changes

  • Assist in the management of high-risk accounts and work with advisors to mitigate financial exposure

Occasionally:

  • Support negotiation processes involving contracts or financial arrangements

  • Liaise with external service providers such as banks, auditors, and legal advisors

  • Provide financial evaluation and support for acquisitions or divestments

  • Assist with ad hoc financial reporting, forecasting, and project support

Never:

  • Have a dull day, this role is varied, fast-paced, and always engaging

  • Attempt to balance your coffee cup on your head during budget meetings
