About You

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • Alternatively, relevant practical tax experience

  • Part-qualified tax professional or keen to pursue a tax qualification

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite

  • Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively

  • Motivated to build a long-term career in tax

About Your New Role

Always

  • Assisting with VAT return preparation and supporting calculations

  • Gathering information for corporation tax computations

  • Supporting tax compliance activities across the business

  • Maintaining accurate tax records and documentation

  • Assisting with tax-related queries from internal stakeholders

Often

  • Supporting employment tax reporting requirements

  • Assisting with subcontractor tax compliance processes

  • Tracking corporation tax payment schedules

  • Supporting tax audits and statutory reporting requirements

  • Working alongside senior tax professionals on tax projects

Occasionally

  • Assisting with tax research and technical projects

  • Supporting process improvement initiatives

  • Contributing to wider tax planning activities

  • Participating in professional development and training

Never

  • Be expected to deal with complex tax matters without support and guidance

  • Be asked to explain corporation tax legislation to a room full of toddlers
