About You
The ideal candidate will bring expertise and a proactive attitude to this role. You’ll have:
Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
A proactive team player with commercial awareness
Your Responsibilities
Always:
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, and board packs
Ensure tax compliance across NI and ROI, particularly CIS and RCT
Monitor subcontractor accounts and manage financial documentation
Provide accurate cost control and financial reporting on projects
Maintain financial integrity through timely reconciliations and robust internal controls
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, tax authorities, and auditors
Often:
Support the Head of Finance in driving commercial decision-making
Assist with tax planning and compliance initiatives
Contribute to the statutory audit process, including preparing audit files
Collaborate across departments to improve financial systems and processes
Occasionally:
Provide support with payroll and general accounting duties
Deputise for senior finance staff when required
Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting tasks
Never:
Be bored, this is a varied, fast-paced, and commercially valuable role
Paint the walls of the office (unless you're very enthusiastic about DIY)
