About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Significant post-qualification experience
Confident managing reporting for a local site while liaising with global teams
Strong technical knowledge across month-end processes, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting
Effective communicator with the ability to influence and lead across departments
Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
Your New Role
Always
Lead month-end close and prepare comprehensive financial and operational reporting packs
Analyse variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior year results
Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, group policies, and statutory requirements
Oversee preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and sales reporting
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the site
Often
Act as finance lead for internal and external audits, including preparation of year-end audit files
Provide commercial insight and analysis to support senior leadership decisions
Support capital expenditure planning, reporting, and forecasting
Occasionally
Participate in cross-functional projects or ad-hoc strategic initiatives
Prepare mid-month flash figures for sales
Assist with system improvements and streamlining reporting processes
Never
Struggle to access the data you need, systems are established and the wider team is experienced
Have to explain variances to a seagull.
