• About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

  • Significant post-qualification experience

  • Confident managing reporting for a local site while liaising with global teams

  • Strong technical knowledge across month-end processes, forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting

  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and lead across departments

  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

  Your New Role

  Always

  • Lead month-end close and prepare comprehensive financial and operational reporting packs

  • Analyse variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior year results

  • Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, group policies, and statutory requirements

  • Oversee preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and sales reporting

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the site

  Often

  • Act as finance lead for internal and external audits, including preparation of year-end audit files

  • Provide commercial insight and analysis to support senior leadership decisions

  • Support capital expenditure planning, reporting, and forecasting

  Occasionally

  • Participate in cross-functional projects or ad-hoc strategic initiatives

  • Prepare mid-month flash figures for sales

  • Assist with system improvements and streamlining reporting processes

  Never

  • Struggle to access the data you need,  systems are established and the wider team is experienced

  • Have to explain variances to a seagull.
