Downey Osborne is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Finance Manager for their operations oversees. This role provides strategic oversight of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, financial planning, and operational efficiency within a collaborative in-country management team.

About You

  • Third-level qualification in Accounting or Finance

  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience

  • Minimum 2 years industry experience

  • Proven experience managing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills

  • Experience preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively

  • Skilled in risk management and implementing internal controls

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities in multi-stakeholder environments

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

About Your Role

Always

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, statements, and projections for management and stakeholders

  • Monitor cash flow and maintain rolling 3-month forecasts

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

  • Manage and empower staff within the finance and business support teams

Often

  • Ensure accurate job costing and monthly variance analysis

  • Provide insights and recommendations to guide strategic decisions

  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders (banks, advisory firms, tax authorities)

  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting and tax regulations

Occasionally

  • Coordinate financial audits and liaise with external auditors

  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency within finance operations

  • Contribute to risk management initiatives and internal control enhancements

Never

  • Compromise on accuracy in financial reporting or cash flow management

  • Attempt to teach the team how to moonwalk during meetings
