About You

  • Qualified Accounting Technician

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment

  • Strong experience preparing accounts for a range of clients

  • Confident managing client relationships and working to deadlines

  • Technically proficient across cloud accounting software and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and commercial mindset

  • Experience reviewing junior staff work and supporting team development beneficial

About Your New Role

Always

  • Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors

  • Manage client relationships and provide proactive financial support

  • Review accounts files, identify opportunities and ensure deadlines are met

  • Support and mentor junior team members within the practice

Often

  • Prepare or review corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns

  • Work closely with clients to provide business and financial insights

  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining high technical standards

  • Support process improvements and practice development initiatives

Occasionally

  • Assist with fee proposals and identifying growth opportunities within client portfolios

  • Support ad hoc advisory assignments and business projects

  • Attend client meetings and contribute to wider practice discussions

Never

  • Be treated as just a number within the team or left without support and development opportunities

  • Be expected to tranquilise an escaped llama before a client meeting just because you’re considered “good under pressure”
